We are selling a bedroom set of furniture that we recently inherited. We do not have room for it. We will accept a reasonable offer where the buyer shows up and picks up the set from its location in San Leandro. You will need a pick-up truck or small van. We are not expecting thousands of dollars for this set. Name a price and we'll see what we can do. It is a Cal King Size bed (we checked - it is a Cal King - per the size/dimensions), headboard (for King or Cal King), two matching night stands and a long dresser. The pictures/diplomas and lamps in the photographs are not included. If you want, we can throw in the bedspread, pillow shams, and dust ruffle as well if you buy the entire furniture set and mattress. We had those and we put them on the bed for the pictures.
We are asking $325 or lower BEST OFFER.
After we took the pictures, we used Old English furniture polish for darker furniture (and scratch remover) which makes the set look even better. The scuffs toward the bottom of the pieces have been "removed" and you cannot see them.

THIS IS ESTATE FURNITURE, MEANING IT IS USED AND HAS BEEN INHERITED.
IT IS NOT ANTIQUE. BY LAW, AN ANTIQUE MUST BE 100 YEARS OLD. THIS SET IS FROM THE LATE 20TH CENTURY. Late 1960's to Early 1980's is our guess.
It is wood and wood veneer furniture. We do not know the type of wood. We do not know the manufacturer of the furniture set. And there is no additional furniture that comes with this bedroom set.
DIMENSIONS:
HEADBOARD - as attached to the metal frame: 46 inches high - floor to the top finials (the top end decorations); 43-3/4 inches high - floor to the top of the long middle part - main part of headbaord. 75-1/2 inches width/length. About 2 inches thick/depth on end posts.
LONG DRESSER: 74 inches in length. 18 inches in depth. 30 inches high. It has 9 drawers.
We like to know the INTERIOR MEASUREMENTS of drawers so here they are. Interior measurement means JUST the interior area of a drawer for storage. The drawer faces will be larger than the length and height.
The three middle dresser drawers interior space is 24-1/2 inches long (long across front) by 13-1/4 inches depth (front toward back of dresser) and they are 5-3/8 inches high. The six drawers on the sides are 16-3/4 inches long by 13-1/4 inches depth
TWO NIGHT STANDS: 26 inches in length. 15 inches in depth. 22-1/2 inches high.
Each nightstand has two drawers. INTERIOR MEASUREMENTS of the drawers are: 14-1/2 inches length by 10 inches depth by 5-3/8 inches high.
I did not see anything seriously wrong with this bedroom set. There are expected signs of wear to edges of bottom of furniture and where you open drawers. There is wear to the right edge of the dresser top. See pictures.
The drawers fit into wood runners in the dresser and night stands. One runner should be replaced in the dresser. This is a piece of wood - about 1 inch by 15 inches that is easy and cheap to get at a hardware store. You might want to replace another runner in one of the night stands as well. Or, you might want to replace them with the metal runners that we've seen at the hardware stores. We did not replace them so that the new owner can get a better deal on this set and we don't have to charge the buyer for a handy repair man's work.
MATTRESS INFO:
The mattress is a Sealy - Style House Ultra Made Exclusively for Montgomery Ward. See picture on site with the label. We do not know how old it is. It is not a 30 year old mattress, but it isn't brand new either.
It is in very good condition. No sag spots. The pictures show a little indent down the middle but that is due to the box springs below were not tight against each other for the picture. It is a firm mattress, but it is not super firm. It is not a soft mattress. As you can see from the mattress pictures there were all kinds of mattress covers used on the mattress to keep the mattress in good condition. No stains on the mattress. There is one rip that happened when we moved it. That is an easy repair with needle and thread.
DIMENSIONS: MATTRESS: King Size: 84 inches in length. 72 inches in width. 7 inches thick. In the pictures the mattress with the metal frame (has wheels - see pictures) is 22 inches high off the ground.
Box springs underneath are 84 inches in length - 1/2 of 72 inches (they split) and they are also 7 inches thick.
MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE. WE USED A MEASURING TAPE BUT WE MAY BE OFF A 1/8TH OR 1/4 OF AN INCH ON SOME MEASUREMENTS.
PICK UP/MOVING INFO:
Buyer will have to bring own movers, moving blankets and moving van. We can help move the items onto your truck.
We may have the furniture moved to our garage by the end of the weekend, so you may be viewing it in the garage if you wait until Monday. There are no stairs to move the furniture wherever it may be--in the spare bedroom or the garage.
If we have it in the garage all the bolts to the metal mattress frame will be bagged for you. We do have some plastic furniture wrap that makes it easier to move the night stands as you can wrap the drawers closed.
You will need at least two strong people to move this furniture. We can help you move the furniture onto your truck.
The furniture is located in a home in San Leandro in the Manor area. We are off of Lewelling Blvd. between Washington Avenue and the bay shoreline. We will sell those for very reasonable prices as well. WE HAVE SOME PICTURES OF THOSE ITEMS. WE WILL PLACE THOSE ON ANOTHER PAGE ON THE TEMPORARY SITE.
WE HAVE A QUEEN SIZE MATTRESS AS WELL. IT IS A EUROPEAN SLEEPWORKS BED. WE DO NOT HAVE PICTURES OF IT HOWEVER. IT IS AT THE HOUSE AS WELL IN STORAGE IN THE GARAGE.
