Compensation: to $250,000
Education: Position requires Bachelors degree in Business Administration / Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Minimum of ten (10) plus years of experience in the metals recycling industry in scrap purchasing and operations management is desired
Travel estimated at 15-25%.

Duties/Experience/Comments:
• The Regional Director reports directly to the Metals Recycling Business (MRB) division's Chief Operating Officer.
• The Regional Director helps to establish and execute a strategic plan, manages day-to-day activities to drive profitability and maintains a safe and environmentally compliant workplace.
• The Regional Director ensures assigned region adheres to all compliance policies and procedures and that every employee conducts business in an ethical and legal manner.
• The Regional Director provides leadership to direct reports and establishes clear lines of communication, ensuring plans and objectives are achieved.
• The Regional Director maintains positive relationships with community leaders, customers, suppliers and vendors.
• The Regional Director's primary responsibility is to provide the leadership necessary to direct and inspire others to achieve goals.
• The Regional Director maintains an overview of and vision for the regional business, providing clear directions and developing appropriate goals and individual accountabilities to guarantee success--individually and collectively--at all levels. T
• he Regional Director must understand MRB mission objectives, set forth by MRB Division Management, and clearly articulate the same to core regional support staff and facility management in order to develop and execute a plan of action. This plan of action is developed in conjunction with Commercial and Productions Operations personnel with corresponding support and advisement from functional groups (i.e. Safety, Environmental, Sales, Purchasing, Administration, Finance, Human Resources and Trading entities).
• The Regional Director determines appropriate responses to current and projected competitive environments within the regional marketplace and the appropriate staffing to support and direct commercial and production operational requirements, equipment maintenance expenditures and equipment utilization.
• The incumbent develops, recommends for approval, and executes strategies to capture market share or specific new businesses.
• The Regional Director must think strategically; confront issues directly; and be energetic, resourceful and take full charge and ownership of the region.
• The Regional Director builds a team of responsible and dedicated managers who are vigilant and able to build teams that empower subordinates, creating the succession plans essential to sustain knowledge and growth of the business.
• The Regional Director analyzes and refines, as necessary, the infrastructure, metrics and management of all regional MRB Operations. Incumbent drives strategic planning, budgeting, and development of the forecasting models necessary to support management initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
• This position operates within broad parameters. The primary goal of this position is to achieve excellence in all facets of facility management. Providing the highest quality product safely, effectively and efficiently decreases accidents and errors and increases profits.
